Comments: |
 |
Recent clinical trials demonstrating the activity of temozolomide against malignant gliomas make this agent a potentially useful treatment of both parenchymal and leptomeningeal tumors. Furthermore, animal studies have shown that between 41-44% of the serum drug concentration is achieved in the cerebrospinal fluid. Among other known active systemic agents for malignant glioma, only procarbazine achieves adequate CSF concentrations, but temozolomide offers the advantage of oral administration. |
